Duke Johnson is more than full-go right now. Says if there was a game today, he'd be ready. Has gained 15 or so lbs of muscle in offseason.

Lets go Duke, lets ******* go.

If Duke finishes the season on the field and not in the training room we should have the Costal on lock.

Duke gained weight last year and lost some speed, don't turn him into a fullback. As great as he was before the injury it was surprising to see him get run down several times. Speed kills don't lose it by bulking up.

no matter what it is.. Duke will always play every down and give it his all. I really hope he has a great season and sets himself up for the next level

I really hope he is able to break the 1k mark. He has been so close the past few years. He is a great players and ambassador for this program. wish him nothing but the best

Should see lots of this

I'm going to appreciate watching him this year. He has "it" and glad he's a true cane.

Haven't we gone over this several times?

Duke's always been quick, and one of the fastest accelerators in all of college football. Top end speed though? It's ALWAYS been lacking. That's why sometimes he will get run down from behind after breaking out. He reaches his top end faster than 99% of backs, but his overall top speed isn't elite. I like his weight gain for this reason--his quickness will take him past the DL/LB's, and his extra bulk will allow him to punish DB's with that stiff arm even more...and maybe run thru some of those tackles at the 2nd level. All he's got to do is run away from who he can, and then use his new size to run through/over the rest.

Also...weight gain (if done correctly) doesn't always equate to losing speed. If you build the right muscles and work on your running technique, you can pick up speed.

Duke Johnson is never going to be bulked up to "fullback" status. To suggest as much is ******* nuts.

The swam scum and criminoles were all up in Duke's face last year. He was jawing back, but I think some of his bulking up his so he can deliver more punishment on the field to the big mouths. He was tearing the feathers off the criminoles last year. He promised his mom he would beat the gator and noles. He delivered the gator hide last year; this year he gets the feathers to glue on it.
