Duke Game Start time put on 6-Day Hold

This is potentially great news. If Duke beats SMU this weekend (@Duke) and The Canes smoke FSU (as expected), then the Duke - UM game will likely be the national game of the week.

Might even get Gameday.


Sadly, wont matter. I think SMU rolls the Dookies this weekend, even with the tobacco road officiating benefit.

Gameday will be in Happey Valley for OSU @ Penn St.

Game will probably be close for a bit but Duke's offense will not be able to keep up. Score will probably look worse than it is...similar the FSU/SMU game that was only like 14-9 midway through the 3rd.

I'm not as high on SMU as others. But there schedule is super favorable. Pitt is going to give them fits if they get the run game going. Narduzzi is a massive **** but he will have those kids frothing at the mouth for a 21-17 fist fight type game.

Pitt plays Syracuse this weekend.
I know, who gives a ****, right?

As we know, record vs ACC opponents is a tiebreaker.
We have a chance to pick up a few games this weekend.

Games involving our opponents (not on SMU's schedule) vs. SMU's opponents (not on our schedule)

Syracuse> Pitt
Louisville>BC
Wake>Stanford

They had a graphic up the day they decided to go to the Cal game showing that only like five schools have never hosted Gameday. Cal was one of them. I believe Indiana was another, so this move makes sense to me.



Quick Edit: It was actually Illinois, not Indiana.

Three schools in the ACC and three others in the Big Ten are part of this group without a visit from ESPN.

Yup,
I got pretty drunk Saturday, kept going from about 1000-1800, took a quick nap, then back up for the late games, made it to about 2200, and was out!
I was all out of it for two days after the Cal game.

On a serious note, if/when Duke loses to SMU, I think the Canes -v- Duke game will get relegated to the ACC Network, which I believe gives the conference the final say on start time. Given that, I'd guess it would be a noon game to prevent any kind of advantage for the Canes.
