The man turned down his Alma Mater to remain at his Alma Mater's rival. Now, he is delaying his vacation to host a 2020 WR that is already committed to us. Anyone that follows Miami football closely and/or follows Dugans on twitter, knows that Dugans is a huge family man. In fact, he stated that Richt's devotion towards making sure that the assistants can have a work/life balance, is a huge reason why he is still at Miami.

Even if it is just a day or two, for him to sacrifice one of the limited times that he is able to have a vacation with his family, is huge.

From one family man to another, Mad props to you coach Donk.......... much appreciated!!!

And that kid can't even sign for another 2 years. That's some real devotion.
This is what makes it even better. It was an unofficial visit. I think I remember reading that coaches only get 10 vacation days in the course of a year. He just gave Burton 2 of them for an unofficial visit and he is already committed.

Imagine how hard Dugans recruits players that are not already on board with us.

Taking nothing for granted. Sure the kid can't sign for 2 years but he knows the school and coaches are serious about him when they're willing to hold off on family obligations.

can we really pay Dugans all the respect hes deserved just by words on a forum?? i sure would like to give the guy some daps myself and tell him face to face how much we appreciate him and his hard work.... i will always love him for turning down the FSU job from that used vacuum cleaning salesman Taggart

Wasn't there a child being born while Dugans was recruiting Jeff Thomas or something along those lines?
I wasn't aware of this. Wow, that's incredible, especially considering that tragic situation that happened to his daughter. No father or parent should have to go though what he went through. For him to have such a positive outlook on life, is one of the many reasons why I will always have made love and respect for him.

What can I say. The dude’s a beast...a workhorse.

That’s called being all in. You have an organization made up mostly of people this committed, I don’t care it it’s football, the business world, or public service, you’re going to be wildly successful, as well as duly rewarded.

Which is why the tweets by staff post Kul's departure are not that surprising.....
