Looks like another nice evaluation and verbal...

With the school scholarship numbers going to 105 it will be imperative to get under the radar Florida kids who can develop for a couple of years to mix with the higher ranked croots...

Some people speculate the scholly restrictions to 85 by the NCAA was to prevent Miami and FSUx from getting under the radar Florida kids and stashing them for a.couple years...

Florida will always produce kids like an Andre Wadsworth who came in to FSUx as an afterthought and left a first rounder... Time for Miami to stash those kids again like back in the day...

Is 105 official?

I’m completely mind blown they have all this talent at Newberry and suck. I’ll be watching them in two weeks. Maybe that’ll explain what’s up.

Imo the wr’s this go round are meh. Last year was just another level with talent. As for Newton I like his film a lot . Really athletic build and frame. I like guys that dominate inside and out ( pause ). I’ll be able to see him and Jarquez against Bradford in two weeks. I’ll know where they stand playing those guys. Bradford is all about standing in the middle of the ring and slugging it out. Most teams eventually cave. So him and Carter won’t be pass rushing much. I’m intrigued to see if they’re willing to play the run all day.

Suck may be a strong word? Aren't Vangard and Hawthorne (their two losses, Hawthorne in OT) two very good programs in that area?

Hawthorne doesn’t have Ingram at qb but they’re still good. With the talent Newberry has they should be better. So yeah suck might be a tad strong but people around there expected them to be better.

lol, Cornelius is still there as the HC but his son left and is all in on basketball. Although he was a very legit football recruit.

One word to describe Newton is versatility. You can line him up in a 3 , 5 or 9 technique and he can dominate at all of them. They also stand him up some as a joker. The get off and flexibility at that size is crazy. He moves so well that he runs backs and qb’s down with ease. Newton and Carter caused non stop chaos all night , one from the inside and one from the out. Lining them up together inside is just unfair. I’m not sure how you prep for that as a HS OL. You can’t double team them both. I guess you could chip with backs and use a te but that all but eliminates your pass game if you’re sending 3-4 guys out on 7.

Body wise Newton looks like a lean 255-265. He looks much more like an athlete with an athletic frame than Carter . JC is just a country strong beast inside that can’t be moved .

The scary thing about both guys is they’re strong with the pass rush but also dominate in the run game. Most lineman at this level just dominate because they’re bigger and stronger. These guys are much more multi dimensional than that. High schoolers at this size that moves that well is crazy. It’s still baffling they’re the same DL on a 2a school. Seeing both live I see why Miami loves both guys so much. Both would be perfect fits for this scheme.

This kid looks to be a solid player. Good eval and looks to be way more talented than his ranking.
