DT Jared Goldwire update

Rj was the 780th rated prospect in 2015.
Norton was the 360th rated prospect in 2015.

Both 3 stars, both totally dismissed by the typical over emotional whining womanly fans on this site.

Now, they are legit nfl prospects as TRUE JUNIORS, the best duo in the country.

These same shortsighted over emotional star whoring fans have now discounted Fines and Martin. Stupidity repeats itself over and over I guess.

Norton and McIntosh were very highly thought of on this board when they committed back in 2015. Not sure where you got the idea that they weren't as you've only been on CIS since April. https://www.canesinsight.com/thread/canes/80310?highlight=mcintosh

Meanwhile, Clemson is churning out DTs like a factory. Who is considered the ACE recruiter on this staff?

Miami is much more deeper on the dline than clemson. Contrary to popular belief of a lot of you they don’t rotate their dline that much at all especially with the interior guys. Espn announcers were saying yesterday that yeah the front 4 is great there but it isn’t much depth behind those guys or there is a huge drop off in production from the second to first teamers. Our second teamers produce like starters so I’m not worried about the dt position if we get him or not. Clemson does not rotate guys like we do. One might say we do it too often tbh

I don't care if they rotate or not, their talent level at the position is crazy. Along with their development. Year in and Year out!!! If Kool was getting the DL to play like theirs yearly, I wouldn't care how many are in the rotation

Not really true. Norton was thought to be a better G prospect and he didn't have that much film as a DT. Miami was one of the few schools to want him at his preferred position and it was one of the reasons he chose to sign. Auburn and others wanting him at OG was used as a slight at the previous staff. "They got a DT because the other schools wanted him as a guard."

You are lauding their development like we don’t have the best developer at any position in all of football with coach kool. Last time I checked Miami was 1st in sacks in the country and 2nd in tackles for loss . Clemson had 40 rushes for 70 yards against our front

And most people on here thought he was the perfect NG for the D we were running. Nobody trashed the kid.

I get you a homer but you cant be blind. Clemson entire starting D-line is projected first round picks. You have to stack talent. Everybody know kool can coach but we have to start bringing in big time talent up front.

That very well may be. However if he’s not recruiting and landing talented players at better numbers then we will fall further behind.

What's your point? The depth Miami currently has at DT is irrelevant as it's thanks to the previous staff. In three classes, Kool has brought in Ford, Martin, and Silvera (still pending). That's terrible.

Can we wait until early February before ripping on our DT recruiting? At this time last year Harley was going to WVU and no one had heard of Jeff Thomas.

Who exactly said Goldwire was signing with Louisville? And why are we freaking out when all supposedly sent was a text for a kid who doesn't speak to public much?

A class of bethel, ford , silvera is not terrible considering the ceiling they have period. You don’t know football if you truly think that. And this cycle isn’t over

Does Bethel not count anymore?
