Good news is donaldson is now going to enroll early. Donaldson said the staff told him he can play either tackle spot. I know there has been some guard thrown out there but looks like he will play tackle. That should lock him in as a starter next year.

The bad news is that slaton said miami needs to play better for him to pick them. Said they have fell basically out of his top 5 now. Said if miami can finish the year strong then that will move them back up.

And he said rumph is the reason the heritage dudes are looking at miami because he is a great coach and knows how to get the job done. But said at the end of the day guys have to do what's best for them.

See this shows the difference in how kids think, donaldson sees early playing time and is going to capitalize on it, slaton going for the trendy school not the school that is best for his career, a lot of times the kids end up transferring, slaton plays day one here IMO

Donaldson said he plans to visit uf, fsu and unc i think. He said he is still solid to miami and said searles told him its a very good chance he starts game 1.

Slaton should be thinking about the fact that he has the chance to come in and play day 1 here. That's not going to happen at Michigan.

When I first started reading Slaton quotes in the spring, I recall thinking "there's no way we get this kid". But, Pete's latest news surprised me about him. Now with this latest quote, I'll stick with my original instincts.

Slatons stupid to not pick us for playing ******, the OL is the reason we arent winning. If he had some sense he'd be dying to come take a starting spot next year

Slaton's seems to be simply looking at our record right now rather than the games. If he were to actually be looking at the games, he'd see that he could be the difference maker. If we had the college football average of an o-line, we're likely 7-1 with our one loss being to Va Tech given that was the one loss where we lost by more than one score.

Sweet! Donaldson will have a off season of S&C , glad he's an EE

Donaldson's without a doubt our most important recruit.

I'd rather sign a 1 man class of Navaughn Donaldson than a class of every commit we have now minus Donaldson. If that makes sense.

By far the most important player we've recruited since Dalvin

Is he that good or do we need him that bad?

Both.

I could live with a spring ball starting lineup of Donaldson-Darling-Linder-Brown-Odgowu..let KC be the 6th man.

Im ready to just find a brand new 5 starters and rotation. The guys we have now and where they are playing position wise just aint cutting it. If Kaaya is playing behind this same lineup next year what would be different?
