Or have no effect on the football program?

I think it hurts. Creates a we suck snowball, and helps continue the we suck cycle.

So there was a football board in the 80s that said Mia coaching and team sucked?

You would have to assume the coaches read these boards. In any case reporters read these then they derive questions from many of the gripes in here. They better deal with it

Just Prior to signing day, it's hurts.

After signing day, it's good because the "pressure" is on to perform or change going into spring...

It pacifies the crazies. As social media and message boards gain popularity and momentum, don't expect much different. Happens everywhere, not just Miami.

And I agree with Canefam to a degree. The timing and severity of the bashing, especially coming up on signing day, can be a real problem. If a kid is on the fence and decides to peruse these boards and finds out just how crazy some of us are, it could sway their opinions of where they want to be. 16-18 year olds are easily impressionable.

LOL at a bunch of fans venting over the frustrations of this team prolonging the "we suck" cycle.

Three straight ****** hires at the head coaching position of the football program did that.

It's not like the message boards are responsible for the worst defense in the ACC in every category three years in a row, nor the horrid preperation and coaching in the Russell Bowl.

I think the problems with the program beg for prioitization.

Their is a direct measured correlation between message board antagonism and on the field performance, especially the gameday threads.

Go back an re-read those threads during the bad losses and if you compare the time of the post to the game clock, the gameday threads are actually steering the action on the field, not the opposite as one would expect.

This explains the headsets!
