No they don't - the rules are that the 5 highest seeded conference champions are guaranteed a spot with the top 4 having byes. It's very real possibility that the SEC/BIG/ACC get their champions in and the next 2 highest ranked conference champions come out of the Mountain West and the American.The big 12 gets one spot no matter what
