Wears number 16 in honor of Manning. Point is you win and you get the players. Also, Tennessee would out pay Clemson.
How does Lawrence wearing #16 for Peyton correlate to him being a Tennessee fan?!!? They are not mutually exclusive. It was a nice reach to meet your narrative though.

He didn't move to GA until middle school and he was a fan of Tennessee and of course of Peyton Manning. This is pretty well documented and has been discussed a million times on SEC boards.
I agree with you win and they come...or you produce nfl talent at their spot and they come.
. Also this kid wasnt even born when peyton manning was at ut. and likely never ever saw a gameof peyton manning playing at ut

Fall Branch. No kidding. Doesn't get much smaller than that. Not much going on there except commutes to Eastman, a few other industrial entities and health care. From the TN state line to Knoxville, 90% UTK fans.Trevor Lawrence grew up near me in a town called Fall Branch... an hour/ hour and a half from Knoxville. Parents went to ETSU. Both Tennessee fans.
Wanna say he moved to Georgia around 9-10 years old.

I think Herbie or Fowler mentioned him moving to GA at that age. Won't speculate as to why, but many people in this area move away for better jobs.
No doubt a good decision as far as football comp is concerned. Daniel Boone certainly isn't known for producing D1 talent as are almost all of the others in the area. Although Dobyns-Bennett has produced a few - the Sensabaugh brothers most notably. And Witten went to Elizabethton. Small world it sure is. Really appreciate being able to talk with someone that's familiar with this area and has such great knowledge and connections.I know some people from Cartersville as well where he moved to... James Farr was an OL on the first Clemson national championship team back in the 80s... he’s became hood friends with some of my family we go to Panama City beach every year and meet up. He said the family or the mom or dad are originally from there. First job out of college was in the tri-cities and after they stuck around 10-12 years they decided to move back.. thoughts of Trevor playing football were heavily involved in that decision. He would have went to Daniel Boone HS.. not many big time players if any have ever come from there. Good decision for them
Yup Eastman has to do something to the water in Kingsport. They’re the only local program putting dudes into the league and far more into D1 than anyone else.
