Met and spoke briefly to Lingard before the game. Kid is big. I'm 6' and he was definitely an inch and change taller than me. Seemed like a humble kid as well.

He is a humble kid, hardworking and an excellent teammate. He's gonna produce wherever he lands but he REALLY wants to be a Cane. Why let him walk away?

at worst what do you get? A key special teams guy and rotational starter...for example Mike Smith has earned his schollie. Chatfield is a step above athletically to Mike Smith imo.

So I was at the game yesterday in the Club Level and walked down to LIV at halftime trying to catch some recruits and maybe get a picture with one of them, like I did with Al Blades Jr. earlier this year. I was a little late and there was a crowd of them going up the stairs (where we can't go) and I saw Mark Pope and I said, "Hey Mark, what's up?" and I threw up the U. He smiled, but there was an older black gentleman going up the stairs in front of him and he looked at me and said, "Roll tide roll" and I looked at him and said "Dam n that ****". He just turned and kept walking up the stairs. Probably means nothing but it ****ed me off because I was about half crocked. True story though.

Yeah DJ was in last week vs GTech for sure. I remember him having a clean shot a the ball carrier and completely being fooled by who had the ball.

But that doesn't mean he can't redshirt does it? isn't one of the rules that was passed one that allows True Freshman to play in up to 4 games and still be redshirted?....I don't think we're going to redshirt him either way, but still.

UF's Shark banger visited Pope's high school game and Pope was originally thinking about OVing UF but chances of that happening are slim anyways. Pope watched another Miami practice last night (and was at the cuse game obviously). Both of his parents were at the game and they're 100% in for Pope going to the U.

Hall - Banda came up and watched him play Friday night. According to Stampini (in ivins' article) that he might OV UF and Bama (with bama more likely to get the OV). However, hall continues to say all of the right things about miami.

Frierson - UGA came to south florida to watched him play. However, Frierson told miami that he plans on enrolling early at Miami (told Miami that recently)

Joyner - OVed FSU this past weekend and told them that he is still solid with FSU. However, Ivins think once the canes turn up the heat in his recruitment (which they haven't yet apparently), the flip won't be out of the question.

Chatfield - is waiting for an offer from Miami before he decides on whether he goes to UF...
