Yea totally. The obvious answer to an inconsistent true freshman punter is to wait til he's a sophomore with a whole off-season of experience and practice and replace him with another inconsistent true freshman punter. We can do this every year.

You remove the one -1 yard punt and we are in the top 1/3rd of net punting.

Remove all the shanks and we are likely a top 10 team in net punting. With experience, he will likely be able to add 5-10 more yards to his punts as he is getting "too much" air at times which has allowed more than enough time for coverage. Combined, I could see the young man at a 45 yard average as a Jr and Sr with little to no return yards.

Definitely solid. We’ve been spoiled recently with NFL quality punters so I can’t blame anyone for being worried. Some of his punts have been atrocious but I think he’ll develop well.
