Is feagles are guy for the long term or do you think there will be a possibility we look at other options?

Hasn’t been good but he is a true freshman. Hard to see us recruiting another punter the next couple years.

Do you think he has the potential to improve? I know absolutely nothing about punters development lol. I just know every game we played feagles seemed to be the worst punter on the field including the lower tie programsm. His punting is really hurting our team this season by always giving them solid position.

I'm not convinced Feagles is good, but it's hard to be burning schollies on punters. Hopefully we can develop what we have.

We should be more worried about find safety that can take correct angles, linebackers that can tackle, and a QB that can complete more than 55% of his passes

O'Donnell's freshman year: 37.9 yard per punt (47.1 as a senior)
Bosher's freshman year: 40.2 yard per punt (44.0 as a senior)
Vogel's sophomore year (first year starting) 42.8 yard per punt (43.8 as a senior)

Feagles this year: 38.4 yard per punt

I'll think he'll be okay.

no need to..iwould though scour for walk on elgible guys to bring in to compete with him though.

No sure you see a ton of improvement in punters imo.

If he can be a 40yd per punt guy here...he'll be solid. We have been spoiled with having 3 nfl players punting here

He clearly has leg power. His issue is technique and consistency. He should be able to improve in those areas.

Feagles has competition in Spicer (the current holder).
Kid is a freshman
Let Hartley develop him!

Stop trolling us.

A real Cane fan knows that Jeff Feagles, his father, was one of our greatest punters ever and had a very long NFL career. But he also struggled as a freshman.

The younger Feagles has had some very impressive punts mixed in with some horrible shanks. A couple were during the rain game, but yes, he has hit some bad ones even in good weather.

The issues are pressure and consistency. The kid is a true freshman who played running back in HS. Now that he has several years ahead of himself to devote solely to punting, he should get better and more consistent. But even with all of his flaws, he is averaging 38 yards a punt.

Now that the Gaytors coach has been fired, the UF trolls will be out in force.
