with the return of future first round pick and Outland Trophy winner Seantrel Henderson? That's seemingly been UM's trademark since the freshmen year of 'Mr August' Reggie Youngblood in 2005. But seriously, from a schematic and personnel standpoint does this make sense in 'the Lil' Apple'? One way to help a bad defense is to keep them off the field, but I get the sense UM can throw on the Wildcats

- Speaking of schemes, Tyriq McCord was used with both his hand on the ground and as OLB( actually made a nice play, IIRC on the fumble caused by Luther Robinson as he smashed the TE at the point of attack coming in motion). He just looks so small right now as a down lineman. But its clear, he's going to play a lot, regardless. Love to see what a full off-season of U-Tough will do for him as a player

Ah...I see what you did there.

Having a healthy Henderson as a third tackle is an interesting problem to have. I think all Cane fans will be following him closely in this game. Flowers was fine at BC. How will Henderson fit in?

McCord is going to be a fine player for us. Just needs another off-season to put on some quality mass.

Miami will pound the rock, keep Klein off the field.

I'd imagine more aggression down field utilizing play action, apparently's KSU's is suspect.

could't seantrel play TE for running plays and maybe once run for a pass and the D wouldn't be expecting it..... because I remember hearing about after practice last year Seantrel would run routes and make some nice catches.

/there may even be a video anyone remember that ?

if he doesnt do it hes gonna need his head examined.....

quite frankly i was mad with all the cute delayed hand off...lateral stuff.....i pretty much wanted to line up wight dye, hagans and motion to overload a side and just run it with mike james for periods of time during the bc game.....

james is a back that gets in rhythm...and the size of our oline doesnt really say..(zone block) we could pretty much maul folks straight up now

maybe they didn't want to show K State their hand.... I'm sure fisch is gonna devise something up

After picking up that fumble inside the five, I thought it was highly questionable that UM went shotgun all three plays. I had ERRickson flashbacks...

It will be great to be able to pound the rock and all, but honestly we're going to need the big play in this game.

That's always been our identity. We need to use our speed on offense and strike early and often.

That series left me fuming. Did we have trouble moving the ball on the ground and I missed it?

I hope it was an aberration.

Agree that the best way to make up for a bad defense is to keep them off the field. I say run the ball as much as we can.

from what I have read K state Db are Veeeeery suspect. we might be putting it in the air more than you think

You have to get 7 there and you need to be ruthless about it, not cute. Straight smash mode.
