Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as football liaison to and work directly with the following Athletic Department support units on all matters.
- Assist Head Coach in day- to-day management and quality control of football program and support staff.
- Oversee the football operating budget, meeting regularly with the Head Coach and Deputy Athletic Director & Chief Operations Officer regarding budget.
- Plan in and out of season football countable athletically related activities (i.e., practices) including housing, meals, facilities, equipment, etc.
- Oversee all home, away, and post-season team and department support units’ travel requirements, including hotels, bus charters, air charters, meals, etc.
- Plan and oversee administration of recruiting and official campus visits.
- Serve as liaison to Compliance Office for National Letter of Intent Process. Insure that the NLI’s are prepared correctly and sent in the appropriate time frame.
- Work with coaches to get admissions applications returned and NCAA Eligibility items completed in a timely manner to facilitate final NCAA Eligibility Center certification on all student-athletes.
- Coordinate permissible correspondence to incoming student-athletes regarding financial aid, workout programs, orientation schedules, fall housing requirements, required physical documentation and equipment needs.
- Plan and assist in the oversight of the annual banquet in conjunction with Athletic Development and Special Events office.
- Serve as liaison with Athletic Business Office and Athletic Development relating to Coaches Dealer Vehicle program. Ensure that all staff has the information needed to stay in regular contact with vehicle providers, communicate mileage marks on each vehicle and insure incident reports are completed and submitted to the Payroll and Risk Management Offices as needed.
- Assist Head Coach with all academic and student-athlete management matters. Work with Head Coach to track and project APR annually and with rolling 4 year average. Consult with Head Coach on possible student-athlete moves and how they would impact APR situation. Track the number of scholarships and potential non-scholarship student-athletes who would be eligible to be placed on scholarship.
- Assist Recruiting Coordinator with administrative tracking of walk-on student-athletes.
- Assist Director of Player Development with bi-annual walk-on student-athlete tryouts and evaluations.
- Attend Department Head Meetings.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference, institutional and departmental rules.
- All other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach or the Deputy Athletic Director & Chief Operations Officer.
Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements):
- Five years of experience.
