In order to not give too much film to FSU and Va Tech? Is that the reason why the half time adjustments were so crucial?

Not saying this accounts for turnovers, poor tackling, etc. (which are another discussion). Just game plan wise.

If true, it would be idiotic. These are conference games that count tha same if not MORE than the FSU game in terms of winning our division. Sure, rivalry and recruiting puts this game on a higher plane, but you don't go "vanilla" just because you think the opposition is inferior.

I am really hoping this is/was the case because I just cant image that this is all we have to offer...

Where is the offense we used against USF for the first half? Morris actually threw the ball deep.

Whay if they felt we only need 10% of the playbook to beat those teams?

Kind like when you playing your friend in madden, and you run I Formation Two TE set all the way down the field. Why change it when they've shown they cannot stop that play?

Its little ****y and dangerous in a real game situation. But GTech does it. Wisconsin did the last couple year(ACE, I Formation). All the way dowm the field. **** FSU did the same plays against us when we took that 45-14 *** whopping

We went vanilla because our QB isn't capable of running certain plays. Not because we're saving anything for FSU/VT.

Could be a little bit of both. I notice Stemo has the Josh Freeman Syndrome. He holds on to the ball a lot he should. Either it there or throw it away.

I think the answer is "you play to win the game".
Internet bunk. Nobody game plans a vanilla game.
Sorry!!

GO CANES!!!!! BEAT THE noles!!!

Uh no we didn't. You have to win each week it would be asinine to hold anything back against conference foes.

All I'm saying if you in the ACE running the ball fo 8 yard a pop, would all of sudden throw ball 40 times if they have not stop it?

So if Alabama is playing Kentucky, Saban is saying throw the whole play book at them? No
They probably run 20-30% of there playbook.

Now is Coley doing that? Probably not. Is he confident enough to feel we can beat teams with a fraction of the playbook? I would put past him.
Also, Stemo decision making could and probably has some effect.

Yeah, we definitely stayed vanilla and nearly lost two games in row so we could save the playbook for FSU. What the **** is wrong with some of you?
