Did Nkosi know he might have to wait two years

I've been purposefully ruling him out as a potential starter next season. I'd like for him to make me eat crow while carrying us somehow to a natty. *crossing fingers*

Beginning of thread - no way we start Perry over Rosier who is 11-0 as a starter

Thread now - Perry is going to start next year.

Did it really take a loss to realize Rosier ain't good? I been says weeks back Rosier ain't good enough to just be safe. He should obviously enter the camp has the leader but if Perry or Weldon got there **** together their consistency with their accuracy will blow Rosier out of the race from the get go basically.

Spring ball will be fair game and even slate at qb and Perry has a much higher ceiler because of arm talent hopefully he's been living in the gym this fall into next spring

I think it will be an open competition . The facts are if Sherrifs or Perry were the QB this year we would be a 3 loss team right now at best so Rosier has gotten us this far. At the same time when Rosier is bad boy is he bad. I think how he closes out these last 2-3 games this season will tell the tale on how much rope he has coming into next season. I think we might play 2 QBs next season regardless and have certain packages for Perry regardless even if Rosier wins the competition.

Give me a break. I understand Rosier is streaky but he has brought more to the Qb position than anyone since Dorsey. Perry might be a great Qb , Might . But it is dumb to think the grass is greener. We need to bring in Williams as I can't imagine both Perry and Williams are both overrated and thus we will have the QB to replace Rosier in 2 years.

Yeah I'm guessing one out of Perry and Williams will be legit. I know everyone is high on Perry but Williams seems underrated. He was starting over the #1 Pro Style QB (Clemson commit) on their 7v7 team by the end.

In my mind it was more the way Rosier willed his way through the games even when he struggled. Kind of like how when the Broncos won the superbowl a few years back, Osweiler was playing much better than Manning, but when Manning was healthy they put him back in even though he sucked just because he was the leader.

Rosier lacks certain fundamentals. Sometimes he makes up for them with some intangibles. At this point Perry or whomever is going to have to be pretty good to beat him out next year in my opinion. I trust the staff to make call. Maybe they give Perry more meaningful snaps next year and see what he can do in live action. Just don’t see him winning the job outright.

Are you kidding me?! There's no one in their right mind that thinks Rosier starts next year lo). Nkosi Perry will be the starter against LSU AND on.
 
Wow did folks jump off the Rosier bandwagon.

If Rosier gets passed Clemson it'll be tough to bench him next year. He takes us into the title game then isn't a guarantee he's starting next year? Especially being a senior.

You did watch the game against Pitt, I'm assuming?

Also, Rosier admitted that he was complacent going against Pitt. Given his struggles this season, he's not in a position to really overlook any opponent.

Whether he gets us past Clemson or not, no QB position should be given at any point. If Perry's better, start him next year. If Williams comes in and lights it up and proves he's better, start him. If Weldon comes out of nowhere and proves he's better, start him. If Rosier proves he's still the better option next year, then he gets the nod again.
 
Our QB next year needs to be better than the 2017 Malik Rosier period!!

After seeing Kaaya bolt before his senior year, I'm surprised to see this thread. Kaaya seemed fine with only having 3 years as a starter. If N'Kosi does win the job in 2019, he would be a RS Sophomore and still have 3 years of eligibility. Aren't we better off graduating a 5th year senior than giving a true Freshman a pass for bonehead mistakes?
 
I think it all opens back up in the Spring. I really want Williams to come on board as I think he might be the best on of the group...
 
I am sure Richt will start whoever he feels is the best. This year that person was Rosier, we will see who it is next year. This goes for all positions on the team. not just QB.
 
Not only will Richt start the guy he thinks gives Miami the best chance of winning but he will also change QBs if that guy isn't getting it done. What we saw on Friday was Richt saving a redshirt year for Perry.
