Did Nkosi know he might have to wait two years

After today’s game I guarantee he won’t wait another year. Malik will not be the starting QB next year.

Trying to gain perspective here...trying not to react...but, if Malik is to be questioned, then we have to look at Searels and Hartley as well.

I’ve already stated that our 10th coach ought to be a ST coach because Hartley isn’t cutting it. Punt after Punt Feagles would trot off the field with no recourse. I like Hartley with the TE but our special teams has been sub par. Especially in the rerun game.

Searles has earned his check imo.

Nothing is happening to this staff for 5 total years imo.

I’m too angry/disappointed to disagree. However, OL has to do with strength and scheme. They’re not pushing anyone when lesser teams can still push Miami. That’s the coaching; that’s Searels.

Take away the punters name and someone else would get a tryout. He is what we’ve seen him to be; “kicking Malik”.
-The blocking on punt returns and kick returns (forgot who it was who stopped running 5 yds from LOS on an active punt Berrios fair caught)

Perry lost to both Rosier and Evan, he isn't what everyone made him out to be.

Perry got here in May while Rosier's in his 4th year and Evan in his 2nd/3rd year. I guess if a true freshman QB can't get unseat multiple upper classmen only being on campus for 3 months, then he's a quintessential bust.

Perry is a stud and if he was ready he wins that game today IMO, but I understand why he went with Malik

Perry will have every chance to be the starter next season. Malik will have every chance to hold him off.

I also expect Weldon t be in the running.

I also expect the offense to be significantly better, either by having a more talented QB leading the squad, or Rosier taking a HUGE leap in improving the consistency of his accuracy.

Right now, if N'Kosi isn't reading his playbook and watching the game on the plane ride home, I'd be very surprised.

Rosier is the starter next year (probably), but you'll probably see N'Kosi sneak in.

If Rosier is still the starter next season the Perry is a bum.

Why?!? can only make lemonade out of lemons...wait until the coaches get their guys in here first before passing judgement for Fûcks sake...we are 10-1 with the best team record-wise since 2002 and folks are looking to throw coaches under the bus...

If he can’t beat out Malik this offseason then he might as well transfer.

Mediocrity isn’t going to cut it.

Perry will have a full Spring, summer & another Fall camp to be ready.

Redshirt Freshman have won big time recently in college Football & that could be the case with him as well.

I always believed he would be the starter next year anyway, only way it wouldn't is if Rosier lead us to a Natty this year.

He's way more talented as a passer & has far better upside, but Rosier has more experience & has come up big in some clutch moments.

I'm not for handing anything to anybody, Rosier while having a good season for us this year shouldn't keep the QB competition closed.

The best man needs to start, if its Rosier he should have to win it in camp the same way he did this year. But, Perry, Weldon & even Williams should all have a fair shot at it.

We open with LSU next year, big non conference game, if it's one of the young bucks there won't be any tape on them. But, if that doesn't work out we know what we got with Rosier. He's good enough to hold down the fort & get us to the ACCCG.

He came late ......tf?

Watch the film he has way more tools at his disposal then Malik.............he wasnt an EE and that cost him and there not going to burn his RS after a 10-0 start thats pop warner type coaching if they do that especially vs clemson the defending national champions. Be patient we r back even if we lost, the way fans r reacting is like we been undefeated for 4 years straight.

Yep.

It's also refreshing if you think about the QB competition in 2018:

Rosier (RS Sr.), Perry (RS Fr), Weldon (RS Fr), and J. Williams (FR (I think he commits to Miami)).

2017 it was:

Rosier (RS Jr.), Shireffs (RS So), Perry (Fr) and Weldon (Fr)

The former group is what a Miami QB battle should look like. We were without adequate depth at the position given that Weldon and Perry were true frosh. Add Williams to the mix next year (if commits) and I think we have a good stable. At least in the scenario where Richt benched Rosier to send a message, he can have an actual viable option going forward and leave in for a few series.

I also think Evan's going to be a transfer candidate to free up a scholly. Just don't see him amounting to anything at Miami. If he stays another year to get his degree, then cool.

I understood why Richt benched Malik when did for a series. I said it in the gameday thread, but for this season, Rosier's our best option to win. You don't burn Perry's shirt for one game - unless it's for a natty then cool. But if he was that good and developed, he'd be the starter right now.

That's Al Golden ish to burn shirts like that. Richt's not trying to play stats in his favor to save his job like Golden did.

I know Perry was the higher rated QB but I wouldn't count out Weldon. He had the more impressive tape from what I remember and he's physically ready.
