Did Nkosi know he might have to wait two years

There's no doubt that Nkosi has a lot of talent. Watching Rozier will pay dividends. I think CMR must give Nkosi some playing time next year to get the kid not only ready for the future but to show the kid we are serious about him. Rozier no doubt starts next year unless he goes injured.

Now talk of Jarren Williams. Seemingly a precarious situation for Nikosi.

Yes, Perry clearly needs to find a FBS school that only carries 1 or 2 QBs on their roster. He certainly wouldn't want any QBs recruited before or after him, that'd just be unfortunate.

Just awful OP

I don't think this is a far out question. I think if it's not being said the thought is there that Nkosi expected to play early. My example of giving him playing time might be a short term option to appease the kid. Instead of just arbitrarily disagree with this post tell me honestly is this the scenario we had for him when he was recruited. Precarious is exactly what it is.

Dumb dumb the main thought is about playing time not competition although Jarren would come in this class. Don't be so naive to think there are certain things looked at for example 2 other qbs waiting in the wings. We need far more help at other positions right now Nikosi is good enough to be our guy for the future. We need to keep him happy he can do things Rozier cannot. I am sure its in CMRs plans for next year to give him a certail role.

It's about competing plain and simple.

Sorry Rozier is our QB he has a lock on the position period for next year. If you don't think so all the competition in the world won't change that fact. Common get serious with the competition thing really.

If Rozier leads us to a Title there is no way he doesn’t start next year period! He is our guy!

I think Rosier will play a lot better next season but you have to keep the competition open at least through the spring. Unless from here on out he goes on some ridiculous run.

If you still can’t spell our undefeated, starting QBs name, you need to just shut the **** up

What's dumb is you comment. Follow your opinion and you end up like us in the Radio and Golden Shower era. Playing true freshman QBs who are not ready or not good enough for the big stage.

Let's look at how the N1 team in the nation recruits QB:
2018: Huge smoke they flip the 6th best QB in the nation in Emory Jones
2017: Tua something, 5* 3rd best QB in the nation and Mac jones 3* QB for depth
2016: Jalen Hurts 4* 11th best QB in the nation, playing like a 5*
2015: Barnett 5* 2nd best QB in the nation (got beat out by true freshman Hurts and transfered)
2014: Cornwell 4* 7th best QB in the nation (got beat out by Coker, transfered)
2013: Bateman 4* 4th best QB in the nation (got beat out by Coker, transfered)

Alabama is taking a top QB every year and when they didn't, they got out and took the top QB transfer in the country (Jacob Coker). If they suck, they dont care, because they have other top qbs behind.

When you skip a year taking a top QB, you take a big risk that who got on your roster is the truth because if they are not, it might cost you your job!

After watching Richts history at Miami and in the NFL (link below), I'd imagine he's good at talking to recruits about competition and playing time since he embodied being a backup himself. He was the backup to Jim Kelly at Miami, and then John Elway and Dan Marino in the NFL. That's a lot of experience with disappointment, and I'm sure it's helped him realize why open competition and letting the best man win is good, and how to give the talk to a player that he's going to be the backup.

Mark Richt: "everyone but the QBs, you compete for playing time. I'm gonna give Perry snaps at QB just to make sure he doesn't transfer"

Wonder if Mark would care. Remember the picture of him wth Kelly, Vinny, and Bernie?

LoL, no kid at a top program gets handed the quarterback job unless the program had a recruiting miss or two or a kid transfers unexpectedly. The fact that Perry has to wait his turn is a good sign for Miami. If Williams rolls in, then he has real competition in spring 2019 as well.

Even if we win the title this year, Rosier should have to compete for his job AGAIN next season. As good as he's been (and he's been really good), I don't think anyone would say that our QB play shouldn't be better. He has a ton of things to improve on in the offseason, and if he doesn't get them fixed and Perry is better in the Spring and Fall, then he can go right back to the bench.

As for Perry, I'm not sure he'd want it any other way. This is championship football we're talking about. You gotta sing for your supper. Ain't nothing given. If that's what he wanted, then he should've gone to the dumpster juice capital of the world Tennessee.
