Apparently hasn't registered for fall classes and recovering from back surgery. [I also wondered why he didn't have it done on the U's dime.]
While he is still on the roster, and counts against the 2013 numbers, I think that there is something like an Injured Reserve type list that he may not count against in the event he doesn't return.
Does anybody know?

Maybe he didn't like the surgeon or preferred his own?

Honestly, I know RS FR...but you have to wonder how long this kid is going to last? I'm not sure we'll see him back in CG.
 
He's going to transfer only a matter of time. Rumors have been out there a while and this kid is never ever gonna play a down here with the talent we have.

It's a cold world. A few years back, the fellas were elated that we landed Dewey.

Now, the fellas are X'ing off the days on their calendar until he transfers.

Remember when he made the Elite 11?

Me too.

Wonder what the story is with this guy.

Not going to lie. The way Morris played as a JR, the landing of Olsen and the committing of Kaaya made me stop caring about the story with this guy.
 
Wish the best for him. Hope he is able to recover fully and go somewhere that he can actually play. I was rather excited when he committed as well but stars aren't everything.

I was pulling for the kid since he's from Texas... Always thought at worst he'd be a solid #2 guy

Dewey is not a counter for 2013 at this time. You must have received athletic related financial aid for this school year to be a counter and to my knowledge, Dewey has not. Everyone who has been in camp that has received aid counts against the total counters for 2013-14.

Me either. It just triggers me to consider my stance on recruiting and loyalty. It's a two way street, that we -fans- have a tendency to overlook.
 
Kid had promise. Hate to see him go, because I never want to not have mutiple options at QB again. He committed when we could not buy a qb recruit and is from good recruiting ground. I don't understand how anyone can claim to be a Cane and not understand what family means. A kid who comes here, works hard, and keeps his nose clean deserves our respect and thanks. Look at the old great teams and you will see names you never heard of then or since. Not every kid turns out to be Playmaker. Hope you stay kid, but best of luck if you go elsewhere to play.
