We all know golden cant take every single one of these kids he's recruiting right now. Simply not enough room. Is it possible he's recruiting some of them to establish relationships for kids in the future? Just something I thought about this morning...

Don't even understand what u are saying. We recruit hundreds of kids who we can't take. Hiss it different than any other year or any other team?

U recruit hundreds to fill 25, b/c u aren't getting everyone at the top of your list. So, if there are 10 spots left ( I know there aren't), maybe u need to recruit 25. For some, it's a 1st come, 1st serve mentality and others will always have a spot.

AG knows by recruiting at schools like Don Bosco, PB Dwyer, and even Miramar, he is establishing a Miami Hurricanes presence where there wasnt one before. When he lands a kid like AQM, it enhances the opportunity to land future ballers at Don Bosco.

More importantly though AG is making sure the Miami Hurricanes are visible where they were not before.

I dont think he recruits kids just to establish relationships at a school. He is recruiting them to be Canes but the relationship part is the payoff.

AG has let it be known by his actions that Miami will be competitive for tri-county ballers but also go OOS for ballers as well.

AG wants the best kids he can get. Full stop.

Building relationships is about not ******** kids over, in part, so I don't see how recruiting kids you don't plan to take would build relationships.

Does he notice, at the margin, that it's good to take a kid from a top program? Sure. But we just took that kid (AQM), and he was a no-brainer. At schools like Miramar, STA, etc., we'll continue to recruit kids and take some.
