Can't wait for those two to go along with Bush, Howard, Crawford, Jenkins, etc. No doubt in my mind that will be one of the most talented secondaries in the country when they're upperclassmen.

I really just want one more pure stud safety. That would make this DB class perfect, 2 safeties plus 1 CB/safety to go with the 6 returning CBs and 4 returning safeties already on this team for 2013. Of course, ideally, we would have 15 DBs, not 13, but with this small class and huge needs elsewhere, we will just have to make do.

peter how much do you think they both weigh from seeing them in person ?

Carter: I'd say 205-210
Burns-185? Around there

Pete, do you think Burns is a safety in this class? I think one of the three of Burns, Lockhart, or AJL has to play safety for us to get the depth right, and turn the corner as an elite defense. Kacy R. doesnt have it. Thoughts?

AJL will play receiver here 100%.

I think Burns will play safety out of necessity, but I think he's a better corner from what I've seen. Who knows though, because I had Deon pegged as a corner based on what I saw from him at Columbus, and the staff has done a great job with him at Safety

Thanks Pete. I would much rather have him at safety than corner since we already have a few guys shirting who can play corner. I felt the same way about Deon, I guess we were both wrong, lol. Sometimes since I feel like Deon is the only Miami caliber safety we have on the roster, we should just play 3 corners, 3 lbs and 4 dlinemen. Might be better than wasting a spot on the field with the other safety anyway.....

Carter is looking jacked man. He's a prototype safety and could even fill a hybrid role. He's big enough to press the line and blitz the edge IMO. I haven't seen any highlights of him other than punt returns, how's this kid as a ball hawk?

I just made this same exact point in another thread.

When they´re upperclassmen, depth will be provided by Jaquan Johnson, Quincy Wilson, Cornelious Floyd, Travis Rudolph, Jojo Robinson and Jovon Durante. ****´s gonna be real.
