Is he fast and athletic enough to be our Kelvin Benjamin (FSU) or Mike Evans (Tx A&M)?

I remember when we were recruiting Benjamin alot of our fans thought he was to slow for WR. IMO he's the second best WR in CFB.

I think he is better suited for WR.

Him, Coley and Duke on the field at the same time will be a nightmare for opposing defenses.

Positions are blurred now anyway, but I think he's a "TE." He'd basically be a super sized version of Jordan Reed.

His position title doesn't matter.

All I know is he'll be a matchup nightmare for any defender that lines up across from.

Christopher Herndon can play TE for Miami alongside Standish Dobard.....

Imo Miami needs a receiver that is an open field mismatch like Kelvin Benjamin and Dorial Beckham Green... Derrick Griffin fits the mold perfectly.

People sleep on Herndon. He's pretty athletic.

I am not sure if he will have the speed for receiver. Could be a **** of a wing but also would make a great receiver like Streeter was in the 20.

This is kind of an obvious statement but it's gonna depend what he looks like when he gets here. If he's really up to the 245-255 people have thrown around, I can't imagine he'll have the quickness in and out of breaks to stay outside. Surely you can use him there occasionally but i'm speaking in terms of staying out there. Now if he shows up and, regardless of weight I guess, and can drop his shoulders and get in and out of breaks, F it. Let the big fella stay out there

While we can hope he makes it in this kind of situation of a late qualifier seems to never happen at the "U".

Whatever position coach Coley calls it for the ONE guy who is allowed to run across the middle of the field. That's what we should call Derrick Griffin. lol

I'd love to see Griff at WR. We need that sort of WR, and he'd be a total nightmare. He's more athletic than Kelvin Benjamin.

WR. We are alright at TE. We haven't had that giant bodied WR here in a loooong time.

We don't use our TEs enough in the passing game anyway. Griffin is a special talent that you need to maximize, and I don't think you do that axing him to block all the time.
