Like most of you, I want Collins back bad, but I will not complain in the least about getting Derrick green, I found this clip on rivals and (surprisingly) for free...he talks individually about each of his top 5 and discusses Miami and the possibility of teaming up with the duke...he seems to really like the game day atmospheres at auburn and Michigan so it's probably good that he'll visit in the off season....he talks about Miami towards the middle

IMO, it's a toss-up between the two.

If Alex Collins chooses another school but Derrick Green picks Miami i will be just as excited....

I saw Derrick Green play on t.v. and he is a bulldozer.

I would rather win with south florida kids, but if he picks FSU, i will settle for the #1 ranked back in the nation.

I want Collins, but Green would be great too.
 
Mr. Green's wardrobe reminds me of Leroy Brown on "Meet the Browns". Gotta love that! :quag:

His face lit up a bit when he talked about playing with The Duke so there may be some opportunity here. If a few coaching changes happen and we keep a full court press you never know what might happen. :drevil:

Yep

he was punishing the opposing defense all game every time he dropped that shoulder, always falling forward for the extra yards.

**** dat ****... give me Collins all day... Collins should be the #1 back in the nation... he has quick feet and can also run you over... he has more to offer... I hope the staff is still recruiting him hard... his boy will get no PT at FSU... and therefor will transfer Collins will thrive but I don't think Golden wants to face a back like Collins for the next 4 years... he is too good to just let go... yes Green will compliment Duke but Collins would be a much better compliment... he is big and fast and hits the hole fast... i love his running style... pure running back...We wouldn't lose anything if Duke came out the game and Collins came in. Please I really hope we are still recruiting him... Miami only wants 1 back this year... and 2 in the 2014 class... 2014 is loaded with friggin talent. I got goose bumps about where we will be in the future... CANT WAIT!!!!
 
Is Tressel off NCAA parole? Anyone expect him to land in Volunteer Country? Who they identify as their new HC will go a long way in determining how their class ends up.

Not my favorite running style, but I'm open to whatever works. We need a contributor for next year.
 
Watching the two highlight tapes something that sticks out to me is how much bigger ( watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZV3CdA7HC2s Collins is bigger than most team's DL) the competition that Green faced was. Now I know we're all South Florida homers, but we're not a region known for producing big uglies, much more focused on speed. As a result it's hard to judge the competition. I think that Collins has faced speedier defenses and outran them showing his burst, but Green has pounded against much larger guys showing he is a much more traditional power back. It's hard to compare the two since they come from completely different regions, though we'll get a good preview at the All American games as they'll be facing similar competition.

No. Tennessee's probation was extended 2 years. Don't expect them to hire Tressel, Petrino, or Butch for that reason.

Besides, Tressel still has a show cause and I doubt UT wants to go back in front of the NCAA and explain the hire. But this is a UM board, so ***** UT.
