Seems like there’s a new football league opening and another going out of business every year.
Meanwhile minor league baseball goes strong and do you know why? Because they set up in minor league cities with no major league competition.
What kills these B-League football leagues is they always try to set up teams in Dallas, NYC, etc. Nobody in those places gives a **** about the lesser league, they watch NFL.
But the people making these dumb business decisions are the same type of state school, manage-by-a-speadsheet dip****s who talk about “media markets” and “growth opportunities” and it’s the same dip**** logic that brings a school like Rutgers to the BIG 10, because “NYC market, bro.” Meanwhile, NYC doesn’t give any ***** about Rutgers, and Dallas doesn’t give a **** about minor league XFL.
Not everyone went to Yale like I did, but the way these people squander millions is just hilarious. Dumb business decisions.
Go where there is no competition, focus on having a good product, and the money will take care of itself.
