Derick Hunter Decommits

i think we will add Cunningham and maybe fuller to this list by next year. Both of them have played games already

With all the talent in the 19' Class I personally don't care. I hope the coaches continue to explore other options and pull his offer. Kid is good but not by any stretch of the imagination a "can't miss prospect" I'm not into bashing kids on their decisions but it seems quite obvious that this was a poor excuse for a decommitment. If u wanna be a Cane and you're already committed just shut it down like Lingard and focus on getting to campus. We don't need to waste time with kids who wanna "play the game" He'll mess around and be another Nigel Bethel case

anyone with vip?

Here’s the important part lol

“A program source said 'yawn' when asked about Thursday's news. Miami liked Hunter in the spring and was excited when he committed back in June, but the coaches weren't happy with how he's constantly seeking attention on social media or how he has progressed as a junior this season.”

Basically, Miami pumped the brakes in regards to his recruitment and the kid took notice.

So long old timer.

I like this kid and met him before at the spring game and few other games..... but if you haven’t been reading the tea leaves lately, he got dropped basically. In a nice way, but they moved on.

Maybe they pursue him again later on but looks like Miami moved on, his note and what he’s been conveying lately. It’s all there.

I love this staff. In an era when kids are controlling the recruiting process with games, this staff isn’t afraid to drop kids and move on. This staff is going to be in control of the recruits, not the other way around. They are looking for a certain type of attitude and player. Need attention on social media and not 100% bought in? Cool. We good.
If you’re committed, it took more effort for him to tweet out some decommitment than to just stay committed and get off social media and get his “grades” in order. Nothing needed to be said.

Leonard is a little off as I can’t imagine it’s a “competition” thing as we’re short on d ends so the kid had an opportunity.

Once again you’re off.... The kid would’ve been a DT here and since when are we “short” at DE?
