Look I don't want to sound like a ***** or nothin' but...
I hope everybody right now realizes just how important guys like Deon Bush are to this program. When Deon was in high school, he came on national TV with everybody in the country watching and said "I have to put my city back on the map right now," and basically told Nick Saban and all those SEC *** hats to go **** themselves, because it's all about the U. This dude is all about his community and he's going to be a HUGE part of righting the ship at Miami. I hate to hear this about his dad, but at least he has a great guy for a son to be there with him.
We're so ****ing lucky to have guys like him, Tracy and Duke representing Miami at this critical juncture in our history, because they're all great guys who not only love the U, but who also love and appreciate their communities and families. It says everything you need to know about this generation of 'Canes that Duke and Tracy are going to visit Gary Bush in the hospital after chemo. Those are the kind of guys who you appreciate, even if they don't do **** in football. Luckily, and probably less importantly, all three of them are badasses and are going to have great careers here.
These guys who we have right now that are out in the community (and who were big time legends of the South Florida community in high school) are going to pay enormous dividends for Al Golden and Miami in the future. I think that five years from now, we're going to look back and think that those 2012 guys were the ones who "righted the ship" as Al puts it. I hope we're appreciating now that their contributions to the U are not just on the football field.
Best of luck to Deon's dad.
