Wow I know we have a long way to go till but were closing in on 5 months till kick off,it feels like yesterday when we were all like, **** its gonna be a long 9 months, hang in there boys, we'll get there!
 
Wow players calling the wrong fronts, that speaks to coaches not coaching these kids up in terms of teaching them a complicated scheme. I am glad to see they are putting in the extra time to learn the system, but Coach D needs to do a better job of communicating his scheme.

It is the coaches fault that a sophmore is calling the wrong stunt and is corrected by his sophmore teammate?
And that their solution is to study harder?

This says that he didn't know what he was doing, not that he wasn't taught.
 
I noticed A LOT last season how late our guys were getting lined up. That's what happen when you rely on young guys to be leaders.

Looking back on it now, we missed Spence's leadership more than I realized. Denzel had some growing pains last year leading it appears but he should be more comfortable in that role this season. I think that'll help everybody.

When you're not thinking as much and you're just able to play good things will happen.

I like Paranos for the DT under the radar recruits, but he's wrong here. A young kid playing middle LB is going to make some mistakes. It's alot to process.
 
Most successful programs have kids backing up 2 years and learning from upper classmen - then getting their chance as RS Soph or Jr's. there is a 3 year period even in the pros for guys to really be comfortable in the defense.

The growing pains we went through last year getting these players experience should pay off this year.
 
Nah. Playing all freshmans and sophomores on D had nothing to do with anything. It's all Corch Duh's fault.

Yeah, I love the fact that Denzel admits he messed up, made wrong calls and it is still Caoch D's fault. LOL Come on Paranos, your smarter than that.

Dude made a stupid comment... End of story. DP was a true sophomore starting at the middle. That happens whn your team is young. Paranos just likes to make ridiculous comments. He should stick toDTs and even that is a joke. The DTs he brings up have never been offered! Every DT he had brought up in past 2 years never had an offer. Also go look at his nonsense posts about UM not recruiting tamp and the Beck kid. Paranos is a fool.

Amen to that. You could see guys like Deon and Tracy turn it up a notch from game to game, though Deon seemed to let it fly a lot sooner.

Remember when we moved CMac to the middle and he struggled, even as a veteran? Put him back outside and he was a beast. Hopefully Kirby has been putting in work there.

While that may be true, Paranos' criticism of Coach D on this was purely ignorant and utter nonsense.
 
Won't we have another green MLB this year since DP moved back outside?

So yet another learning curve to go through?
