There's nothing in this thread to suggest that Miami could have had him if they didn't cool on him. Instead, it's just the opposite, he decided on FSU, then Miami cooled on him.

With most of our class already signed we now have the resources required for putting the full-court press on our remaining targets, and with RJ and Norton possibly declaring early, Briggs has become a priority. He's one of the best DTs in the state and we will be thin at the position if both guys leave, we need him in this class.
