Deejay Dallas regularly refers to his ace when talking about Miami's class. Thoughts on who it is?
Here is my thoughts in order of likelihood
1. McFarland- Out of state kid, highly rated, seems to be a major cane lean.
2. Jeudy (Dream Scenario)- When everyone knew he was gonna commit to Bama, DeeJay was saying he was gonna be a cane even that night. I remember when an outlet broke the commitment (that everyone knew was coming) an Jeudy said he hadn't committed yet. At that point he seemed pretty confident that he would be a cane. Deejay used to have a "shock the world recruit" that I'm fairly confident was jeudy this is why he thought this so the ace could possibly be him
3. Devonta Smith- Out of nowhere, relatively quiet recruitment, drove down here on his own dime
4. Holloman- Obviously lives close to Deejay and would be a major coup. However, he just doesn't seem like to fit the profile that deejay has provided. It seems that it will be out of left field and holloman would be too obvious. On the podcast with Pete, it definitely did not feel as if holloman was the ace as the already discussed his status on that podcast.
Btw, i think that our chances with holloman and smith are far greater than with Jeudy. I am just talking about the ace.
Thoughts?

1 interview he said there were 3 players he was really recruiting. Leatherwood, Holloman, and I forget the third. If I coud add 1 player in the class it would have to be Leatherwood due to need. Just curious, what happened to him looking around for early playing time? Are our coaches even going to visit. In state team with all the playing time he could ask for.

Leatherwood is all the way
Locked with bama after ov he just had. He even said there is no final decision to be made

I think its McFarland as well. I don't really see any really big surprises in this class.

Thanx. Dam shame. Would of been a beautiful thing seeing Leatherwood and Donaldson on same line.

Leatherwood is a beast but Slaton and Donaldson lock down the left side for 2-3 years ('18-'20). St Louis give us two years to find/develop another OT. In a perfect world, both of them get some snaps in '17 but aren't forced to start.

The board is full of absolutes and hyperbole . . . Player X sux . . . Coach Y sux . . . no middle ground, they are the spawn of satan!

I have a difficult time not feeling a lot different today about our OL heading into offseason and the 17-18 season. I think TG becoming a part of the rotation helps a bunch. Here is a snapshot. Ill delete seniors. Ill color green contributors/starters. Ill color red transfers or potential transfers. And by potential, I don't mean literally . . . all could transfer . . . thanks! Gray is, Im not really sure, but think maybe potential transfer if Im not super clear on their role. I hope out of the gray a kid or two can develop into contributors. We need help for sure, but having TG step up is big. Brown eligible next season is big.

I think McFarland is a silent, but I don't think he is the "ace."

My best guess is that it's Holloman, Dallas knows him the best. Some of the guys whose opinions I value think we get Holloman and Smith, so my hopes are most assuredly up. If we close our offensive skill positions with McFarland, Holloman, and Smith, that's some serious talent.

DeeJay made his "ace" sound like a surprise. I don't think McFarland would be surprising.

I'm gonna guess DeVonta Smith. It's been eerily quiet on that front.

Havent heard anything with him in forever. Id do backflips if we land him. He does seem like a silent to somebody. Staff needs to go all in on Holloman, Smith, and now even Jeudy.

Its holloman, quote me in 3 months
