Is it just me or do others agree that Rumph and Banda are putting themselves in another bad situation with their recruiting strategy.

We have turned down Logans commitment, which is going to hurt our chances with him moving forward and we offered Nunn a non-committable offer. Both because we wanted to see how things play out with our higher rated targets.. does this story sound familiar? Db recruiting in Florida is the biggest battle, just wondering if you guys think we are fighting it with the right strategy.

I'll hang up and listen.

Nothing wrong with wanting to sign the very best. It sucks for the kid who really wants to come here but has to wait for a potential 5 star to tell Richt “no”. But sometimes when a kid waits it out & gets the chance to commit late in the process, he’s a better man for it & makes him wanna work even harder to prove he belongs

At least we offered them rather than doing what we did to Chatfield and Harley.
This. Staff has taken a step forward in that regard compared to last two cycles. They don’t have to necessarily take everyone but they should stay in contact. These kids know it’s a business, only so many you can take too.

That’s what Luke was complaining about.
The strategy is to put yourself in the best position to land the best possible players. If we would've
accepted bethel Wilson and wildgoose early (if they wanted). People would’ve complained that that was the reason for not landing tc and ps2.

I would be shocked to learn Rumph or Banda make those decisions. They may have some input, but they aren't making the call on whether one target is a take over another.

The U is probably getting sick and tired at being left at the altar come NSD.Jobe,Surtain,Henderson are
not good so the U might be looking for recruits that 100% will sign on NSD.

They used their alloted scholarships perfectly last year. This isn't a fly by the seat of their pants process. I seriously doubt Banda and Ruumph are deciding "who and how many" numbers on their own.

Yup, Richt pretty much goes on vacation until September and lets the assistants run the show.

Totally agree, and man is Richt gonna be ****ed when he comes back from vacation in September and sees what a mess those two have made.
