I would guess the diving thing with the line is to re-enact stumbling and just trying to get a piece of a defender in a game by cutting them.
 
First level block and hurry to the second level for a cut block, essential for outside zone blocking.
 
I believe its a cut block scheme.... push the guy to the side you want him then get down in front of him. I personally don't like those schemes but they are fairly effective when run properly..... I just feel like its something you go to if you don't think your OL can get the block on their own...but I am no OL coach...lol

Can't wait to see the camp report after today!!! Got those full pads on, this is where we separate the men from the boys!!!!! Lets see some of that three level drill!!!! I like that one..

DP is a beast, but I can't help but think he should be about 10 lbs lighter... Wasn't it Ray Lewis that said in his last couple of years he had to get smaller so he was quicker to play with these wide open offenses? Or was that Bart Scott? Thats all I think of when I see him in coverage, that if he was a bit lighter he would be much quicker in short bursts in coverage..... again, WTF do I know...

This **** right here is what its all about... we got us some competitors... im happy that this kind of stuff is going on... any good program has this... we have guys that won't back down, guys that have a winning pedigree... I love it...

That's as they age though. DP is at a point where he can carry that much weight and not lose athleticism or flexibility.
