Does he play immediately? Kid has the goods as far as I go. What say you guys?

Morris stated that he thought Thompson could start immediately. However, he is coming off of a shoulder injury so I am not sure.

He'll be starting. Heard some of the guys on the team didn't think he had the type of power he does until they saw it in person. Dude is unreal.

No doubt he starts. He will DH at minimum if the injury keeps him from playing on the field early on

Thompson starts from day 1. And, after losing so many top guys to the MLB draft, his talent is much needed in our lineup. Can't wait to see what he can do against college pitching.

He will just because his swing provides that big hit potential in any at bat ..... but when I played him last year we threw him slow pitches and his step and timing were way off we got him to pop out twice in the infield

I think Thompson will be batting cleanup or at least 5th. Good power and Good speed. I do however think that he will start at DH. Morris wants a solid defense and Freshman Left handed Chris Barr has a really good glove at first, can really pick em (says Coach Morris in press conference) and good speed. Both should be in the lineup. When his arm is totally healthy, Thompson could play corner infield and corner outfield. Good freshman class with some really good returners...should be interesting!
