Before the haters start talking **** about the young man, congrats to the young man for graduating from the U! Can't blame him if he leaves to play.

Congrats young man. Welcome to the inner club. Only so many people out there with degrees from THE U. Even less that actually played and got the paper. Good luck in what you do. (Only one thing, don't transfer to the friggin gators--we might have to revoke the paper then. Can live with anyone else, although some criminoles or cheaters would cause serious stomach upset.) Best of luck.

I am not hating on him I am actually happy for a kid that has been with the program as long as he has and still has eligibility

LOL at 8:51 long highlight film of him from Miami. All joking aside, best of luck to David Perry moving forward, wish him nothing but the best

Good luck to you David Perry. Glad you got your degree. What's up with the silly crowd shots in the vid?

DE David Perry leaves Miami Hurricanes

CORAL GABLES — David Perry, a defensive end who did not see much playing time as a Hurricane, has left the team voluntarily, UM confirmed.

Perry, who would be a redshirt senior this fall, can play for another FBS program this fall if he graduates from UM.

Perry, a native of Portmore, Jamaica who played for Fort Lauderdale-University School, had an injury-filled career at UM and played in 15 games over three years.

He struggled with a knee injury last year and saw action in one game, registering the only two tackles of his college career against Savannah State.

He attended UM’s first three practices this spring and wore pads, but was often seen standing aloof from his teammates when not participating in drills.

In high school, Perry was a three-star recruit and ranked No. 115 on ESPN’s top 150 list. He was a first-team All-Broward selection by the Sun-Sentinel and Miami Herald.
