guys that we hit on:

Botts
Chickillo
Dorsett
EJ
Perryman
Pierre
Scott

Everyone else is either gone or is a disappointment (or still has to prove themselves).

Combine that with what we had leftover from the 2010 and 2009 classes, and I would say its a **** miracle that we won our division...especially considering all of the young guys we were forced to play. Recruiting and evaluation makes or breaks a program....no matter what kind of coach you got.

Paul and Finnie played pretty well too. I know we have some sick recruiting classes coming in but you dont want to see solid players that could be big contributors as upperclassmen off the team. Too bad.

In regards to the 2011 class, considering AG came on board less than 2 months before NSD that class has been successful IMO. As for the guys that havent contributed, some of them took a shirt because they werent ready. Still too soon to write them off.

I agree J but there is attrition every year. Guys have to step their games up and the staff has to have guys ready.

Yep, I agree. Its one thing when you have guys get here that flat out can't play, it just hurts a little bit when you start to see productive players leave the program. Maybe they were never going to be superstars but they showed they belonged.

We've got plenty of guys coming though so not worried.

Don't think it's wise to give up on Grimble
Crawford is going to be a player
Olsen Pierre is going to be a beast
Taylor Gadbois has time to grow as well

Patience.

Class of 20:

Solid contributors already:
Dorsett
Chick
Pierre
Botts
Perryman
Scott
EJ

Played but Jury still out:
Armbrister
King
Grimble
Williams
Crawford

Yet To Play
Wells
Goudis
Gadbois

Gone
Kinard-never showed up
Finnie-solid contributor before being dismissed
Paul-solid contributor before leaving
Smith-played as a Jr, passed over as a Sr
Alexis-late fill in that didn't pan out

Overall I don't think it is too bad considering Golden had to put it together in 2 months and the old coach didn't have any visits set up. Plus most of these guys are Jrs/RS So so plenty of time to become players.
