In a media availability session today, Daryl Porter Jr. offered insights into Miami's preparations against Georgia Tech's formidable passing game, his own standout performance this season, and his thoughts on the ACC.

Amidst the looming challenge of ACC's intensified passing games, especially from Georgia Tech, Porter Jr. emphasized on Miami's focus on "working on the little things" and ensuring that "everybody's on the same page."

A annual concern for Miami has been the team's form following a bye week. Reflecting on this, Porter Jr. sounded confident about the team's morale and readiness. "Based on the last week and a half, I don't think anything changed. Practice is still the same," he remarked, adding that under the guidance of Coach Cristobal, the team's pace remains unfazed. A strong start of 4-0 to the season surely backs up Porter's assurance.

When asked about the promising performance of younger players, notably Jaden Harris, who had to step up due to Kam Kinchens’ absence, Porter Jr. was all praise. "Jaden Harris is a **** of a player. He picks up the defense very well... I feel like he's been ready; he just had to wait for his turn."

Porter Jr.'s own form this season hasn't gone unnoticed. The impressive stat line – opponents managing only five catches on 13 targets for 40 yards with just a solitary yard after the catch against him – speaks volumes of his caliber. "Coaches [are] playing to my strengths," he acknowledged, attributing the enhanced performance to the synergy between him and his fellow players like Kam Kinchens, James Williams, and Jaden Davis. He firmly believes that when the team is synchronized, they "play much faster."

The cornerback, who once played for West Virginia, was quizzed about his perception of ACC. For Porter Jr., the emphasis always remains on the game itself. "Football is football," he said, highlighting the universality of the sport across different conferences. Having experienced the ACC for over a year, he sees no significant difference between it and other conferences.
