They have gotten solid play out of transfers 2 years straight, O'Brien was better than any other option on their roster. He also has 2 years of eligibility remaining.

They'll figure out a way to lose 3 games.

With the team they had last year + Russell Wilson they should've went undefeated in conference play and gone to the national championship.

How are they ever going to recruit another kid out of high school? Bet their current QB's feel pretty **** on at the moment.

IMHO, it's their priorities when they recruit. Strong OLine, Bruiser for RB, TE's that are built like OT's, and HUGE front 7 on D, and somewhere far down the list is a QB who they hope will blossom. Not just them either I honestly believe Bama and LSU do sorta the same thing with a few exceptions in the order, and different style of WR's and TE's

They recruited Elite 11 QB Bart Houston this year.

We only have 2 QBs on the roster at the moment.
Curt Phillips and Jon Budmyer are both hurt. Phillips has had 3 ACL surgeries and Jon B missed all last year with an elbow injury on his throwing arm which hasn't healed.

The (healthy) QBs on the roster are Joe Brennan (inexperienced RS-Soph) and a walk on Joel Stave.

So to answer your question, we got Bart Houston (7th rated QB according to scout/12th according to rivals)

The other thing is that Bart Houston has had surgery since his season ended. This will allow for him to come in and RS which is something that helps quarterbacks.

Bet the kid plays very well up there.

Agree. Its a great place for QB to put up solid numbers. The running game creates a ton of open opportunities in the pass game. Tolzien was solid for them before Wilson.

This. They need a QB that can manage the game and let the running game chew yardage and hit the PA pass. I think O'Brien can do that, and it gives them 2 years to get Houston ready.
