Damages caused by ncaa

The Hurricanes want the infractions committee -- which is not the NCAA's investigative arm, but a separate group...

Why is this always stressed? Is the COI not a part of the NCAA? Does Emmert's dirty *** not have authority over them?

I don't believe for one second that the COI is not being influenced by Emmert to go through with this ridiculously long process and further hold a black cloud over the program.

I agree 100%

I understood the COI was an independent arm of the NCAA not under Emmert's direction.

COI is supposed to be independent but the crooked enforcement department is who advises and writes up the COI decisions. The system is not fair.Stephanie Hannah the investigator who replaced Amir and continued to use Perez to depose unethically is our lead investigator .We have never have implied that we are holier than thou but the NCAA and Emmert our trying to preach this as a pretext to their whitewash of the Miami investigation.

Yeah, that's the impression that I got as well; that the investigation and punishment is now out of Emmert's control, but I just don't believe that he has no authority over them.

So, which "wing" is considering whether to consider our motion to dismiss? COI? BC that bodes better for us, correct?

This is what I don't understand. The NCAA wants Universities to have checks and balances to manage academics, athletics, recruiting, etc. However the NCAA as a whole does not seem the employ the same system that they expect their members to abide by.

Who's checking up on the ones, who's checking on you?

So who fired the investigators?

Emmert or his second in command, Isch, I believe.

The same Isch who approved the payments to Pig ***** Perez that got all the people below him fired but somehow didn't get him fired? LULZ at that piece of **** commie organization.

They want to dupe people into thinking it's a separate entity. It's another one of those corporate shyster fictions that big organizations heap on the gullible masses. There's nothing independent or separate about them. They're part of the fascist entity known as the ncaa no matter how hard they try to act like they're independent or somehow separate from the fake investigator scumbags.

They might not buy into the sham that the fake investigators feed them in this case, and they'd be wise to pull the plug on this whole debacle. But, when push comes to shove, they're all part of the same corrupt organization. They can ride in on their white horses and purport to be above the fray bumbstein style in this one and save the ncaa, or they can heel dig with their buddy Emmert and get their whole spot blown up.

Lol.

How can the COI be independent of the NCAA when the COI is the Governing body of the NCAA?

And if the COI can't throw out cases, this means the NCAA can bring forth ANY charges they want - as frivolous as they want - and the COI has to rule on it?

Sounds pretty stupid

The NCAA/COI won't throw out the case, and perhaps not even formally respond to the motion. Everyone is just posturing, they are playing the game. Each side knows where they stand, and what they stand to lose. Now the COI needs to figure out a way out for everyone to save face, the NCAA's face. Much of this is for the media and the fanbases around the country to digest so that the ultimate decision has a good background and "understanding" when the decision comes down. As many have said before, there will be a compromise punishment suggested. We will just have to wait and see if it is time served and a few schollies, or if they really want to force UMs hand. But at least the NCAA now knows exactly where this would go if they try to come down with a heavy hand. We'll see. Long time to wait for peanuts and popcorn.
