Dallas Crawford

Dallas is a great team player that helps do a lot of little things in games (and in practice) to help our team win. He is a demon on special teams, can help provide depth at RB and WR.

With that said, I would love for him to move back to safety after this season. I think that's the position he can have his biggest impact. The way he tackles and pursues on special teams paired with the ridiculous amount of interceptions he had in HS leads me to believe he could be very nice back there.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure RB depth next season will allow it.

I don't think this is crazy at all. I just don't know if he could help us more at Safety then at RB. After this year, we lose Clements and gain Yearby and Powell (maybe a third). That leaves us with the following:

2014 RB Depth Chart
Johnson (Jr)
Crawford (Rd Jr)
Edwards (So)
Yearby (Fr)
Powell (Fr)

If you move Crawford to safety, perhaps we take another RB this year and keep it at 5. We may end up with another RB if someone flips or we take another kid.

I also think we need to use Crawford a little differently (i.e. more slot and some wildcat stuff) to maximize his potential. This kid can throw the ball, I think Fisch was doing this last year and would have continued this in 2013.

He got noticed big time nationally as being for real. Tough, tough yards he made getting to the end zone.
