To me, NCSU is like the last two Virginia games. Last year around Halloween, after some tough losses, and some wins, we were in position to finish strong (9-3 if we could beat FSU) and get at least an 8-4 season.

Wet the bed on a thursday night at home against a low rent Virgina team, and the season collapsed.

Two years ago, We amazingly had an inside track to the Coastal (despite FSU blow out), and on that same Halloween weekend, famously crapped our pants against an absolutely horrible Virginia (the loss that Shannon seemed to think was no big deal) and went downhill (granted, was good in the long run, for ulterior reasons).

I think it's come a month early this year. Confidence is high, team improved big time, and expectations are higher.

Game we have to win to get in position to contend this year.

I hope we don't get a let daown like those Virginia disasters.

we can't let glennon sit in the pocket all day and pick us apart.. i saw some blitzing in the GT game which was encouraging.. so we'll see.

I agree 100%

Soo many times in years past we have won a game to say hey maybe we have turned the corner only to lose the following week to an avg. opponent with a weak performance.

I really want to see how these guys perform (and can golden have them focus and be consistent) this week, especially with a game like ND the week after.

Glennon can't run so I feell ok about this game

Also, it's a noon game and it will be a scorcher in Sun Life.

U Tough

Now we 400 percent more experience for about half our players since BC Its just going to get better!

This is the type of game we have lost about 10 times over the past 10 years, hopefully this week will be different.

Yep. I feel good about things because a letdown seems unlikely. First game where the defense had some success, made huge stops on third (and fourth), just made winning plays. The staff has to feel inspired, which might contribute to a better game plan.

Offense is starting to be dangerous! Teams are going to have to worry about a lot more than bubble screens and defend a lot more real estate than the ten yards from the LOS (I hope! Fisch has had a habit of coming out way to sluggish). Gotta think Morris is heading in the right direction now.

Seems the team is coming together.

I don't see us in "coasting" mode, which was where we used to lose these games. .

First real home game, very beatable opponent, everything to play for. Gotta think the faith in Golden is valid. Go Canes!

I would love to see Morris settle down and get more accurate. He played a good game against GT, but left more than a few throws out there. That said, the OL seems to be playing well. My biggest worry is that there's been zero pass rush this year. At least Glennon isn't mobile, but they need to do something, maybe press coverage with the DB's to give the DL an extra second or two before Glennon can get rid of the ball.

We need a real home field advantage this week so we can head into Chicago 4-1.

Get the F out there!
