A week of camp is in the books, and Coach Mario Cristobal met with reporters after practice to discuss the latest with his squad:

On the state of the team over a week into camp: We've been in full pads, we've been in shells, and now we're about 80% of the way installed. Running ones, twos and threes, rotating a lot of guys. Impressed with just the competitive nature of this group, the high care factor and a group of guys that likes to work. A lot of stuff to iron out, but certainly...

I just hope the staff and Mark takes their time with his recovery. Those foot issues can linger for another 6-12 months if you rush back. I'm sure he's itching to play Florida but needs to be smart long term.
Evidence shows this shouldn’t be a problem. Citizen was cleared to play last season and he didn’t see the field.

Lol smh.... thought he was full go last week.... now he needs a week to be full speed. Then next week he'll need another week to be full strength. Y'all boys full of SHÎT if y'all believe he's ready smh. He's not.

Was it ever officially confirmed what his foot injury was? Was it Lisfranc?

Mario isn’t a very congratulatory guy, especially in camp settings - and he was VERY congratulatory in this interview. Tells me that he’s really impressed with the EFFORT he’s seeing

A football team can win 2-3 games a year just by effort alone……when you’re in a dogfight that shouldn’t be happening, the effort to strain and push through mentally doesn’t just happen….it’s developed by having a culture of giving maximum effort during practices or summer workouts

And yet Lake reports today they’re bringing Fletcher along slowly and he’s just starting to run, make cuts, go through conditioning…

He’s supposed to be “full go” next week per Mario?

Yeah, don’t buy it. Read between the lines, we’ve seen this time and time again with him.

I stand by my original prediction that we won't see him until game 3 or so.
