Toby Johnson JUCO DT- has legitimate interest in Miami and could be an option.

Alquadin Muhammad- a lot of fans have been talking about him as a possibility. He is one of the top ranked D-Linemen in the nation and Miami has recruited Don Bosco Prep (his High school) before. The only chance we have with him might be if he visits.

Za'Darius Smith- Another JUCO D-Linemen although, He is leaning towards FSU at the moment, but Miami could make a move.

While we are putting up these names, I personally believe that the Tim Williams race isn't completely over. However, I will say that It's going to take a lot to pull Williams out of Louisiana. The two factors that are controlling his decision are his parents and the fact that he has a child in Louisiana.

I've been bringing up Toby Johnson's name as a possibility for a while now. One of the top JC players in the country, he looks like an instant impact player wherever he goes.

On the scout site Mike Bakas says we're not really in play for him.......

Do not want. Why A JUCO DT would go to FSU is just dumb.

Kids don't go to JUCO because they're smart.

If we're going to JUCO for a DL, let's get a DE, please.

Otherwise, let's roll with our current group + the Bryant/Bain/etc. crew.

I think we might take a DE from JuCo

We certainly need one. And, I mean a starting caliber type.

Any names on that front?

Haven't heard any names yet, but I agree we need a veteran presence off the edge. What I mean by "veteran" is physically mature. These young pups like McCord, Hoilett, O'Donnell will be good, but all need weight.

Even a guy like Jacoby Brisoce needs a redshirt year because he has a lot of baby fat.

Names will emerge within the next month

Played 1 year of HS ball and wanted better offers

I hear you Lu, but this kid has a beastly offer sheet. Everybody who's big time wants him. A 6'4" 305 ready to play presence would not hurt matters.

I've been scouring the JC site and there isn't anyone who stands out; will probably have to wait and see how the season plays out. There was one kid who had us listed amongst schools interested, gotta go back and look.

What do you think of guys like Bell, Austin Roberts and the Reynolds kid from NW?

**JUCO kid I was referring to.....

Demetrius Cherry 6'6" 270, 4.70, Contra Costa JC, San Pablo, CA

A Florida native (Frostproof), committed to Washington State, but did not qualify. The Scout article said we recruited him, but not sure if we offered. Currently a 3* rated DE on Scout.

What about playing Bostwick at DE? As I've often said, he's listed as a DT, but that's the most slender 280-290 I've ever seen.
