Could this be our UCLA moment?

I would have to say no

That team, 1998 was already a growing defensive beast
Butch was putting his players in place and they were about to turn the corner from game changing to championship

That day was the first moment our O was about to flash the greatness to come
A game breaking WR core with a back that could carry both a collegiate team, and an NFL one
We knew UCLA would score, and often
It was the first time the O would find a way to win a game

This year is the polar opposite
We see a young, but potent and explosive offense
Still missing an identity, but one that can hang yards and points in bunches
It's the D that lacks this time
Too young and thin depth leave us at the mercy of well-oiled machines
See KSU and I suspect FSU later in the year
Not a player or two away but rather grand infusion of talent is needed

Yet, something tells me that this could be a real big surprise
Looking at ND, there is no explosiveness that would give me pause
Will they gain yardage on the ground, **** yeah
But will they hang 40 and 500 yards
Cannot see it
So, it will be very similar to the UCLA game, as the O will have to win it
But the D will have to dig deep and become suddenly stout

Now for the prediction
UMiami 34
ND 31

An upset, but not defining just yet
Next year, that comes!

That "defensive beast" got throttled in that UCLA game and the Syracuse game before that.

Yes, two of the best offenses in college football raked us pretty good

But names like reed, morgan, Meyers, damione Lewis, Nate Webster were about to become stars
Don't see anyone close to these guys yet

Bush, Howard, Johnson, Perryman...

This Saturday will be a glorious one

5Ringz I think I believe also
We've yet to play a full game on offense
Too many points left on the field
Could hit 35, 40 even against a very good ND defense
Can they score 35 plus?
Don't see it
