I know it's a big topic. You can never assume, but say Tyson Campbell chooses Miami like a lot of people expect him to. Then say Patrick Surtain Jr chooses LSU or somewhere else. Right now it seems like the only other corner Miami is after is Nigel Bethel. Most people are down on him as a prospect and the only positive I see from some ppl is the trust they have in the coaching staff.
My question/thought is, what other corners are out there unsigned that are worth pursuing? Not to imply that there aren't any, I'm looking at 247 now and see a few. Just a few of my thoughts:
-Outside of TC & PS2, Miami has not offered the other two highest-rated unsigned corners in this class (Isaac Taylor-Stuart & Brendan Radley-Hiles, both kids from Cali). I know some people have referenced why Richt is staying away from Hiles, but not sure about why the other one doesn't have an offer.
-The next two (Jairus Brents and Taiyon Palmer) haven't been offered by Miami either. These two seem like more attainable prospects this late in the game, especially Palmer (a GA kid, seems like his best offer is Va Tech but he's only OV'd once, to Vanderbilt). 247 CB'd him to Duke. I think he's a kid that could quickly flip if Miami offered him. Good size (6-foot, 178). Intrigues me.
EDIT: I just read that Palmer de-committed from Duke
-Ken Montgomery Jr, also not offered by Miami. Tall and skinny (6-1 155). From Tampa, so the FL connection is there. 247 has Louisville as the favorite.
-There are a few more unsigned CBs in the 247 Top 100, but I'm going to leave it at this list here. Who knows if any of them will pop up before National Signing Day. I hope at least one or two do. Just wanted to share this though bc I'm sure a few people were thinking who else is out there.
