It looked like our dbacks did a fairly good job of being around the receiver but technique was lacking. At least twice our backs were turned and that gave the receiver the leverage to see the ball in. In fact we had a penalty on one for face guarding.
The other thing is we are usually around the ball but we are not contesting for the ball. This is coaching and technique. It’s like we are just playing a zone defense and our philosophy is to keep the ball in front of us.
