How did they go with Manuel over Morris for QB?

Manuel had 500 yards of offense against the #10 team in the nation, I hate the Noles, but is this a serious question??
I really wonder about Clemson's defense. From the Orange Bowl to this game.

You only wonder about it because FSU gashed it.
Brent Venebles was once considered for the UM HC'ing job. He's a great DC... next season they will be clicking on all cylinders.

Clemson is young and thin at defense. They wore out in the 2nd half. And if there is a team you don't want to wear out against it's FSU.
If we go into our battle with FSU healthy, I think we can hang.
Our OL matches up pretty well with their front 7.
If we play mistake free football I like our chances.

This. DL is the strength of FSU, but OL has been the strength of ours despite some mistakes made against Kansas State. I still think they were alright in that game and a lot of the errors came down to Morris not adequately managing his pocket skills. If the kid stops taking 15 step drops and learns to comfortably move inside from pressure on the edge (thereby allowing the OT's to move in and negating the DE speed advantage) they could be perceived as one of the best in the NCAA.
If you thought KSU had a field day rushing on the edge against our tackles, you haven't seen anything yet. We are going to have to hold TEs and backs in A LOT to chip Werner and company. Interior of the line, I think, can hold up against the Noles DTs, but those ends.... eeeesh. Very, very difficult assignment.
