-Yes, I have unconditionally believed in Al Golden, and his ability to rise this program from the ashes
-Yes, I have blamed talent more than coaching for our issues, based on the 2009-2011 recruiting classes
-Yes, I am starting to doubt if we can ever build a foundation/baseline from which to restart this program, we are back to the Shannon cycle of starting a season well, building momentum and good recruiting class, falling apart at the end of a season, then watch the recruiting class become a shell of itself (lets see what happens leading into 2/2), watch, rinse, repeat
-Yes, Miami got outcoached badly yesterday... they knew what we were doing on every play, and we were jailbreaking our DL all second half on called screens. Their players also have much higher "FBI" than our players
-On that note, whoever does not have Charlie Strong on the top of their coaching search is a racist, the guy is a BEAST, and toyed with Golden, Coley, Dono, from a strategic, preparation, and motivational standpoint.
-Having said all this, Coach Golden is officially on the clock for me...His timeline mirrors his predecessor, and he should be in the same boat going into next year, coastal or fired, and a loss to a USF/Duke type school an automatic consideration
-This community(305) vs The U thing is very concerning.. UM was the 305, and now we're seeing the 2 entities being separated on national TV...something tells me UM asked for this and its blowing up in their face..someone needs to patch this up quick, and we may need guys on this board and coaching circles, from the inner city to chime in and maybe start helping Coach Golden address administration, I dont know, something..
-This incoming class is important and I hope they have the ability to really shake up the attitude of this team, even though I'm back to thinking there is a force greater than the football program at play here, we'll see if baseball falls apart again in May. But I hope these kids Berrios, Thomas, Bethel, Yearby etc.. are dawgs, we need dawgs on this team. It seems we have a bunch of the well rounded good guy players that supplement dawgs well. Louisville was a kennel, they had an edge, we don't...
-Well, back to recruiting, the only thing we seem to compete at, but actually end up losing the big ones as well... Dalvin Cook and Lane coming would tell me a lot in terms of what the pulse is on UM and the ability to come back..
