B1G giving members access to $10+ billion in research grants isn't an advantage?
And if looking at sports only - B1G will essentially be a national conference. SEC will remain geographically in the south. UM is a national brand. I think it could be worth more in NIL opportunities and merchandising to be in the national footprint.
And I tend to agree with the poster who said the SEC would only be interested in UM to keep the B1G out of Florida . That's our value to them. We'd be the SECs c0ckblock. B1G on the other hand, may want to pump up UM to get more B1G coverage in the big Fl media markets.
