Well, the pre game show on Fox did a run down on all the conference championships.

"Bear" Fallica was asked if he thought SMU would retain a spot in the CFP if they lose. He says they should and laid out the same argument everyone else has but then added the possibility of them not getting in was alluded to after the rankings were revealed. He pointed out that it was never said during the actual rankings presentation but at the very end of the show when Rece Davis asked the question....

This is setting up to be a HUGE issue if SMU does lose.

We really not playing this week?

What if UNLV wins on a last second field goal. Does Boise deserve to be in? I mean 2 losses including 1 to Oregon on a game winning field goal.

Update: this scenario doesn’t look promising at halftime

Ok so it has to be missing something. If Boise beats UNLV doesn’t that make them the highest ranked G5 team which means Miami would stay at #12 if SMU wins tomorrow?

Skattebo is the perfect example of how many really good college back there are out there that are low 4 star and below. Similar to the nfl I think in college you can save yourself some money if you go for 1 star and 1 lower ranked kid each year.

I’ve seen more oline pulling in the first series by each team than I see in most Miami games.

Why did we not pull our linemen with any regularity?

Cuz they don’t know who to block. Lol

Or we just prefer to run straight downhill

I wonder if the type of OL we like at G (huge and taller) isn’t conducive to pulling?

If we had the tackles and could move FM to guard and pull him, I think we’d have the best of both worlds - powerful straight ahead with enough agility to pull and open up the edges.

Watching the Big 12 Championship game, neither team knows how to play defense. It would be safe to say that whoever has the last possession will win this game.
We would fit right in with this conference.

Leavitt isn’t perfect, but that kid has gotten better every time he’s stepped on the field. If he wants to get paid, he’ll get a **** ton. I wouldn’t overpay or get into a bidding war for, but I’d kick the tires on him.
