To gloat about how you knew Heaps was "trash" or "garbage". Dude came here and worked hard for an opportunity, and we should be thankful he did bc of the dangerously thin QB depth that resulted from Williams injury and Kevin's idiocy. Fixed it for you ***s.

I'm all on board for Kaaya, but don't kick a man when he's down and should be THANKED for coming here.

Couldn't agree more. Kaaya didn't win the job because Heaps stunk. Heaps came in and pushed Kaaya to be better than he otherwise would have been without the competition. Heaps should be THANKED, not trashed. Also, he's one snap away from being the starter.

Agreed on Heaps

Greg plays TE for the Panthers. No idea why any of this is his fault

Agreed, much as I love that Kaaya won the job, I don't understand the hatred for Jake.

They both competed fair and square in a duel - and Brad happened to win.

We might still need Heaps in the future if Kaaya were to get injured.

Still might need Heaps this year. Support him. Even if his talent isn't Kaaya, Williams and Heaps can go a long long ways in being good teammates to Brad and his development. They've seen and experienced a lot.

And obviously to add to the OPs point we are one snap from Heaps playing vs UL

If he wasnt here that would be Rosier who is not ready despite flashing some potential in camp

The fan base that we have is the ones that's horrible. A bunch of grown *** immature, stupid, and selfish adults who call themselves fans. How can you derail a kid for trying but yet you claim you support the team. Wow, I always say put yourself in their parents position and see if you would love the fact that an adult is tearing a new one into your child. I would think you won't like it at all.

Seriously, I've been on the Kaaya Train for a while but some people around here need to stop confusing their support for Kaaya as directly correlated to a need to bash Heaps. I'm not convinced that Williams is anywhere near to being healthy or that Olsen is anything but immature so we very well could see ourselves needing Heaps to perform this season. No need to feel like an idiot if the kid comes in to bail us out of a game or two this year. I'm wayyyy more comfortable in having him come in at this point if needed than anyone else behind him.

Even if Heaps never starts a game here, I'm very thankful that he came. He brings experience and depth to a position that lacks both.

I couldnt agree more with the comments in this post. We should all be supportive. Our fans track record on QBs is pretty funny. First, most thought Jacoryvwoukd win a heisman and didnt want him to compete. Then thought morris was a high draft pick that also didnt deserve a qb competition. Then williams got bashed for being the projected starter over olsen. Now olsen is our 4th string.
