Commentary on Negative Recruiting from SB Nation

I am new to the site and the whole subject of recruiting.

My kid is at the U and I have become a Cane Fan in just a short time. I admire the history and have been surprised at the ire the Canes attract from many. I thought these two tweets from SB Nation Recruiting were telling.....

If I was a college coach recruiting against a school about to get buried by the NCAA, I'm mentioning that my school is not. Negative?

@SBNRecruiting "negative recruiting is fine" really? How about sell YOUR strengths; no one, including "experts" know what NCAA is gonna say

Other programs negatively recruiting against us right now is like hurling rocks at a tank. Golden is inside not giving a **** and still landing who he wants.

The "ire" the Canes attract?

More accurately, "fearful hatred."

They know we're on our way back up to the top tier, and everyone in college football dreads a strong Miami. Memories are long and lucid.

Half the NCAA rules are in place due to the "U."

Hated? Yep.

But we LOVE it! We feed on it.

And that's why we're 'family.'
 
Hate hearing about it against us. That said, I'd want Golden to do the same thing if he had to if the shoe were on the other foot. I hope Golden has the ability to be just enough of a prick if he has to.

It has never ceased to amaze me how so many of our fellow Cane fans always expressed fondness, admiration and respect for that program in
Trailerhassee.
As if they weren't the same collective pieces of **** like their northern Florida neighbor in Gaynesville.
The obligatory "they always kept us on their schedule..." mantra always pops up in their misguided attempt to portray that
school in a positive light.
Sickening.

Agreed. When FSU one day finally gets slammed by the NCAA, like Miami and UF have, I'll be popping bottles that day. **** that program and anyone who says that "a good FSU is good for Miami" garbage. I wish nothing but the worst for them.

negative recruiting is like telling a girl your **** is bigger then the other guys because of what you've "heard" if she really is worth it she wants you to prove it but if she just believes talk she goes to the lil **** guy basically players you study up on our investigation and dont listen to coaches

I want to vomit when I see Cane fans show any amount of respect for Noles.My hate lies deep lol....I see it on various Cane forums not calling anybody out though.
